In March 2003, Number of passengers Decreased by 4.8% at Copenhagen Airport

COPENHAGEN, Denmark, April 8, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Copenhagen Airport: the number of international scheduled passengers has decreased by 4.2%, while the number of international charter passengers decreased by 9.3%. This means that the total number of international passengers has decreased by 4.5%.

Domestic passengers

The total number of domestic passengers shows a decrease of 7.0% compared to 2002.

Operations and take-off weight

In March 2003, the total number of take-offs and landings has increased by 3.0%, while the tonnage shows an increase of 1.4%. The development from March 2002 to March 2003 has been negatively affected by the war in Iraq. However, this is partly offset by the fact that in 2002 the main part of Easter fell in the month of March, while in 2003 Easter falls in April. Traditionally Easter means less traffic at Copenhagen Airport.
