New Member of Scania Group Management


SODERTALJE, Sweden, April 10, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Scania (Other OTC:SCVAY): Johan Haeggman on May 1, 2003 assumes the position as Head of Corporate Relations, Scania. At the same time he is appointed Senior Vice President and becomes a member of Scania Group Management.

Born in 1960 and MBA, Johan Haeggman has recently worked as a consultant in business and strategic development and earlier as CFO at the Internet consultancy Framfab. Between 1989 and 1999 he was employed at Scania, among others as Head of Accounting and Control at Scania Latin America in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

As Head of Corporate Relations, a new management staff unit within Scania, Johan Haeggman will report to Kaj Lindgren, Scania Executive Board.

"Scania's growth scenario not only entails reinforcing our sales and service organisation to handle appreciably larger volumes than today, it also means that we need to incorporate further resources in Scania's top management to meet the demands for increasingly integrated and global co- ordination of relations with all of Scania's stakeholders.
