In "Lusting After Pipino's Wife," we meet two sets of friends: Vinnie, a charming and predatory troublemaker; his best friend Patsy, a sweet, uncomplicated man who's floated through life; Rita, a simple woman with simple dreams; and her best friend Lorraine, a complicated woman full of angst and anger who's descending into the depths of a breakdown. Their friendships and hearts collide as they struggle to find themselves and each other.
"Lusting After Pipino's Wife" is a bittersweet tale of truths and hilarious surprises in which we see that love is a game with no rules, no logic, and no ultimate winner. The best you can hope for is to be left standing when the bell rings.
The MagnaCarta Theatre Company's presentation of "Lusting After Pipino's Wife" is being held at the East Theatre at The Complex, 6476 Santa Monica Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90038.
Members of the media are cordially invited to opening performances on Friday, April 11 and Saturday, April 12. Showtime is 8 p.m. with a champagne reception after party following each performance.
