KUNGSBACKA, Sweden, April 14, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Elanders has signed a preliminary agreement with DigiSource Ltd., Dublin, Ireland to take over their digital printing unit in Budapest on May 1, 2003. This unit has 16 employees and around MSEK 20 in turnover.
After nearly two successful years in Hungary through the group company Elanders Hungary Kft. -- in Zalalovo, Elanders is now ready to make the strategically important step of establishing operations in Budapest. Being located in the capital is vital to continued expansion in Hungary and all of Central Europe in the segments of industry and trade as well as consumer goods. This takeover also provides the group with new capacity needed for further development in Hungary.
Elanders will assume ownership of shares in DigiSource Kft to realise the takeover. The purchase-sum amounts to SEK 700,000. In addition, Elanders will assume responsibility for financial leases of just under MSEK 9.
The takeover is not expected to affect group profit during the current year.
