Scandinavian Airlines Resumes International Traffic from Bromma

STOCKHOLM, Sweden, April 16, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- On May 12 this year, Scandinavian Airlines (Other OTC:SASDF) will resume international traffic from Bromma, with three daily return flights to Copenhagen.

The offering from Stockholm on weekdays will be two morning departures and an evening departure. At weekends, there will be one morning and one afternoon departure. From Copenhagen, there will be one morning, afternoon and evening departure on weekdays. At weekends, there will be an afternoon departure, as well as an extra evening departure on Sundays.

"The catchment area around Bromma Airport is substantial and there has been considerable demand from customers and the market for this route. This new route offers us the possibility to better satisfy our customers' needs and meet market demands," said Hans Enelius, who is responsible for domestic and international traffic, Sweden.

From Copenhagen, Scandinavian Airlines offers onward connections to some 50 European destinations and eight intercontinental destinations.

The route will be operated using Dash Q400s, which have a maximum capacity of 72 passengers. This is the market's quietest aircraft by far, measured from the ground and inside the cabin. Combined with low fuel consumption, they are the world's most environmentally friendly aircraft. The Q400 has been part of the SAS fleet for three years and the aircraft now being used have been modified and upgraded to meet Scandinavian Airlines' operating safety requirements.

It is 41 years since Scandinavian Airlines last operated international traffic from Bromma.
