Spiritual Self Discovery and Self Expression -- New Book Sets Readers on Path of Self Improvement Through Spiritual Awareness

LOUISVILLE, Ky., April 22, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- A wave of renewed interests in self discovery has recently swept over America during the last decade. Sailing through a sea of self improvement books, Charles and Betty Lelly raise their mast with a different tide. Their book, Spiritual Self Discovery and Self Expression (now available through 1stBooks Library), is a lesson in self improvement while focusing on the spirit.

"Self discovery and self expression are essential if you desire to grow in spiritual awareness," the authors declare.

The emphasis of their book is the spiritual dimension of personal development. Personal development, also known as self improvement, is a popular subject lately. The Lelly's offer something they feel is lacking from other self discovery books and programs, the spiritual aspect. Their book helps the reader improve their lives as well as their spiritual awareness within the world around them.

"We spiritualize the concept of self development or self expression and raise it to a higher level," the authors state. The Lelly's suggest that readers assess every area of their lives so they will know exactly where they stand in relation to their goals. Each theme has its own viewpoint, either the masculine or the feminine.

Spiritual Self Discovery and Self Expression will aid any reader in improving their beings so life is nothing but smooth sailing.

Charles Lelly was raised in a traditional Christian family, but found he needed to study beyond those religious boundaries in order to seek out spiritual awareness and mystical experience, which he has made his life long journey. He has a bachelor's degree in pharmacy, but after 10 years as a retail pharmacist, he returned to school, attending the Unity School of Ministerial Training, and became an ordained minister. He has been editor of New Magazine and Unity Magazine and an executive at the Headquarters of Unity School of Christianity. He is now a retired senior minister of Unity of Louisville in Kentucky.

Betty Lelly was also a traditional Christian and was raised on a farm. She has worked for the Kansas City Star before working for the Unity School of Christianity in Missouri. She was the leader of a shopping center ministry in Miami and was later assistant to her husband in Pensacola, Fla. They moved to Louisville, where she was a spiritual counselor and licensed unity teacher and later ordained as a minister, becoming associate minister. When her husband retired, she took over as senior minister. She has edited her husband's writings for years. Spiritual Self Discovery and Self Expression is their fourth book.
