Here He Comes to Save the Day -- New Book About Infant Superhero Helps Readers Learn Child Safety

MCKENNEY, Va., April 22, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Evildoers of the world beware. There is a new force protecting children from those who would prey on their innocence and gullibility. Look out because here comes Superbaby, saving the world's children from the pitfalls and predators in the new book, The Kid Rescuer (now available through 1stBooks Library), by Carl Holman.

Holman decided to write the book based on the fact that more and more children are being hurt or killed by easily avoidable accidents or are falling victim to abuse and neglect. His story revolves around the pint-size superhero, Superbaby. Flying around and rescuing children from dangerous situations, Superbaby is a learning tool for parents and children. Each situation is possible in the real world and through the invincible infant, readers learn how to prevent injury or death in the face of these incidents.

"I feel that through enlightenment intermingled with entertainment this book will be able to educate my reading audience as to how to combat the atrocities that takes place in far too many of our children's lives," Holman says.

It is Holman's mission, through this book, to heighten awareness, identity and rectify situations that can be avoided. Hopefully, the results will preserve children from common dangers that plague their homes, schools, playgrounds and streets.

Be not afraid, for Superbaby will show the way and capture the imagination of readers while conveying a message of child safety.

Holman was born in Prospect, Va. and served three years in the Army before entering Saint Leo College, where he received an associate degree in liberal arts and a bachelor's degree in human resources management. While pursuing his master's in business at Virginia State University, he decided to work towards a degree from the school of divinity. He completed the required studies of a four-year degree course with the Eagle Bible Institute. Wanting to do something that would have an impact on society, he decided to write and publish The Kid Rescuer, his first book. He lives in McKenney, Va. with his wife and two sons.
