Teleca Signs Maintenance Agreement in Telecom

MALMO, Sweden, April 25, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Teleca has signed a maintenance agreement with Ericsson regarding services for complex telecommunications systems, mainly within fixed and GSM telephony. The contract runs for one year and the total order value is estimated at SEK 41 M.

The agreement is constructed to complete commitments made in an earlier outsourcing contract and to fulfil new requirements from the client. It includes specialist services, maintenance, support and functionality verification on existing products. In total approximately 50 people will work with the assignment. The new agreement will enable Teleca to further reduce Ericsson costs while maintaining quality.

"We see this agreement as a proof of Teleca's professional outsourcing capability for suppliers who wish to reduce costs on large scale developments while maintaining high quality," says Lars-Goran Nilsson, Managing Director at Teleca Networks.
