ATLANTA, April 30 (PRIMEZONE) -- Hotel guests can do without their cable TV, and they can get by without room service. But don't dare touch their mini-bars.
That's according to participants in a new poll conducted by hotel reservation Web site www.all-hotels.com.
Forty-nine percent of respondents rate the mini-bar as the most essential item in a hotel room -- far more essential than amenities such as room service, Internet access and satellite/cable television.
All-Hotels.com, the world's leading hotels-only reservation Web site, conducted the online poll March 1-30. More than 1,000 people from around the world voted on their favorite cities, attractions and hotel room perks in categories such as "country with best looking males" and "object most likely to be taken from a hotel room."
"Some of the survey results - such as New York having the best hotel rooms - were not surprising, but we had no idea people would give up cable TV or room service for the mini-bar ," says All-Hotels Managing Director Jill Chalmers.
