AdZone Research Creates Advanced Internet Surveillance Tool Designed to Intercept Defense-Related Clandestine Communications

CALVERTON, N.Y., May 5, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- AdZone Research, Inc. (OTCBB:ADZR), a pioneering Internet surveillance technology solutions provider, today said it has created and begun using a new and advanced Internet-monitoring tool called "CodeTrax." The company said the new system integrates and collates the data output of its existing NetGet(tm) and ThreatTrax Internet surveillance systems, substantially upgrading and enhancing the capabilities of its clandestine communications monitoring capabilities.

The company said it intends to apply for a patent in the near future to protect its technology, and that due to the global security implications of this technology, no specific details of the new system's operating capabilities would be available at this time.

"This new defense-oriented monitoring system represents the latest example of the commercial viability of our global defense capabilities," said Charles A Cardona, III, the company's chairman & CEO. "And it further enhances our capabilities as we expand our relationships with our strategic partners."

AdZone recently announced two major strategic partnering agreements -- with the Sarnoff Corporation and with a unit of the Boeing Company. Earlier, it entered into a similar system integrator agreement with Raytheon, which continues to expose the company's capabilities to a range of government prospects. . "The Sarnoff Corporation and AdZone are working to jointly market our respective expertise to government agencies focused on the global war against terrorism," Cardona said. "We expect to create and produce advanced tools for uncovering and decoding hidden messages and other content embedded in seemingly innocent-looking Web pages," Cardona said.

"The second agreement, with Boeing Autometric, a unit of Boeing Integrated Defense Systems, is to integrate our Internet monitoring technology with the Boeing range of products and services to identify clandestine communications posted on the World Wide Web for federal intelligence agencies," the CEO continued.

"We anticipate near-term contracts calling for applications of our advanced technologies to result from these strategic relationships," Cardona concluded.

Headquartered in Calverton, N. Y., AdZone Research operates in a secured facility that formerly housed major defense contractor Northrop Grumman Corporation. The facility was earlier used for top-secret defense research and development, and was part of the United States Navy's Naval Defense Technology Center.
