Examining the Middle East War Process -- New Book Provides Seldom Discussed or Known Insights to America's Necessary Involvement in Region

SALT LAKE CITY, May 5, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- The Middle East still remains a powder keg even with the ousting of Saddam Hussein's regime in Iraq as America's eyes have recently refocused on neighboring Syria and Iran. With Ret. Lt. Gen. Jay Garner stepping into Baghdad to help the interim peace process, Richard P. Robison contends that America must keep its foothold in the region as the war on terrorism still rages. His new book, The Middle East War Process: The Truth Behind America's Middle East Challenge: A Book of Answers (now available through 1stBooks Library), explains the real reasons for America's presence in the cradle of civilization.

Robison explains why America is being attacked by a variety of terror factions from the Middle East. His answers, coming from 20 years of service in the region, are not the ones people have been hearing on CNN and most other news outlets. The Middle East War Process explains why and what is truly at stake.

The book offers an in depth look into the future of America in the Middle East and the world. The objectives Ari Fleischer and the rest of the Bush Adminstration are providing are not the real objectives, according to Robison, and he contends this is for good reasons because he feels there is more at stake than just oil. Global financial and political stability and prosperity is at stake, as well as America's position in the world if they fail to force peace through war into the region.

Robison focuses on the future threats that Iran and China may pose to the safety of America and the Middle East, points that almost no one has consider yet. In his opinion, peace and stability are necessary in Middle East nations.

"Anything less virtually guarantees future attacks against America on American soil, and next time we may count the dead in tens, maybe even hundreds, of thousands," Robison states.

Born out of 20 years experience in the Middle East working for the CIA and in the private sector, The Middle East War Process recounts little known and unique facts he had gathered in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Egypt. Following the first Gulf War, he resigned and returned to the Persian Gulf as a private citizen, directing U.S. companies in rebuilding and operating in the region and is a regular and popular speaker at conventions, talk shows, universities and professional organizations. Robison has a master's degree in Arabic language and Middle East studies and attended the American University in Cairo, Egypt. This is his first book.
