Thomas A. Fetzner Retires as Vice President and Corporate Controller


ONEIDA, N.Y., May 6, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Oneida Ltd. (NYSE:OCQ) today announced that Thomas A. Fetzner has decided to retire as Vice President and Corporate Controller, after 16 years of dedicated service to the company.

Mr. Fetzner is retiring effective May 30, but has agreed to assist the company during any transitional period. Oneida is in the process of seeking a successor to Mr. Fetzner.

Mr. Fetzner, 55, joined Oneida in 1987 as Corporate Controller, and was named Vice President in 1988. He previously was a senior manager at Coopers & Lybrand.

"Throughout his career with Oneida, Tom has been thorough and decisive in his leadership of our accounting operations, with the focus of his efforts always on strengthening our company for the long term," said Peter J. Kallet, Oneida Ltd. Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer. "While we are happy for Tom from a personal standpoint in his decision, we will miss the financial knowledge, expertise and professionalism that he provided.
