Den Knecht To Retire From Northrop Grumman Ship Systems


PASCAGOULA, Miss., May 13, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Den Knecht, vice president of Communications and Employee Services for Northrop Grumman Corporation's (NYSE:NOC) Ship Systems sector, has announced he plans to retire from the company effective Oct. 1.

Knecht, 60, has been with Northrop Grumman and its predecessor companies in Pascagoula for more than 30 years.

Active in community and state affairs since 1971, Knecht presently serves as chairman of the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce, president of the Pascagoula-Moss Point Chamber of the Navy League of the U.S., and on the board of directors of the Jackson County Economic Development Foundation. He is a past president and former campaign chairman of the United Way of Jackson and George counties.

On the state level, he currently serves on the executive board and is immediate past chairman of the Public Education Forum of Mississippi.
