A Handy Handbook for Health; New Workbook Offers Easy Way to Record Personal Medical History

HOUSTON, May 14, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Kari Behringer was taken to the emergency room after an allergic reaction to medication, and the experience opened her eyes. As the hospital staff asked her about her medical history, she tried to provide accurate information despite a faded memory. It prompted her to create the Personal Lifetime Medical History Journal (now available through 1stBooks).

A simple guidebook to record personal medical history, it helps the patient track doctor's visits, hospital admissions, surgeries, immunizations, medications prescribed, menstrual cycles, annual exams and doctor and hospital contact information. Behringer also provides areas to record birth and body statistics and parent's medical history. It also helps people remember the thoughts, feelings and events that surround people's medical care.

A workbook to be kept throughout one's life, there is plenty of designated space to orderly track what happens with one's health. It offers the chance to give a personal touch to the medical care in today's world of sterile technology.

Personal Lifetime Medical History Journal can also serve as an invaluable guide for future generations to study their family's medical history, in order to better prepare their own health for possible hurdles.

Behringer currently resides in Houston. She has been a flight attendant for 15 years. A volunteer at the local hospital, she has several family members in medical professions.
