Anoto Group: Christer Fahraeus Succeeds Orjan Johansson as Chairman of the Board

LUND, Sweden, May 27, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Christer Fahraeus and Orjan Johansson change positions in Anoto Group (Other OTC:AOTOF). Effective immediately Christer Fahraeus becomes chairman of the board and Orjan Johansson takes over as CEO of the group. The board member Lars Berg has been appointed deputy chairman of the board.

Anoto has passed through a number of important phases like basic technological development, build-up of product portfolio and contractual models and the establishment of global licensees, and is seeing increasing revenues. The primary goal ahead is to continue from the present platform, focusing on operational proficiency and experience and further increasing the number of global licensees.

Orjan Johansson's previous appointments, having among other things 15 years experience from system design development and system sales in combination with a large network, make Mr. Johansson highly qualified for the position as president. Christer Fahraeus, who has primarily been handling ownership issues, investor relations, discussions with partners and agreement matters, will have more time to concentrate on such issues.

"The reshuffle is logical since Orjan Johansson has always had an operational profile and tasks largely interchangeable with mine. In this way we will achieve a more clear-cut, distinct and effective organisation when entering the next phase. Orjan Johansson's executive experience will enable Anoto to establish sales processes within Business Unit System and allows for an even larger Anoto products trade", says Christer Fahraeus, the new chairman of the board, Anoto Group AB.

"Christer Fahraeus will now be focusing on the board work in addition to a number of current assignments of long-term importance to the company, such as issues concerning agreements and ownership," said Orjan Johansson, the new CEO, Anoto Group AB.

In connection with the organisational changes Lars Berg will replace Nils Ljung as deputy chairman of the board, further strengthening the board work.

Christer Fahraeus has served as president of Anoto since the company was founded in 1999 and also took over as president of the public parent company when Anoto became a wholly owned subsidiary and thus the group's most important asset. Orjan Johansson has been working board chairman of the subsidiary Anoto since 2000 and was appointed board chairman of the public parent company in 2002. Christer Fahraeus and Orjan Johansson have during the year had certain joint duties such as handling discussions with partners, negotiations, market contacts and strategy issues.
