There are 9 million hungry children in this country who need our love. That's why the Greater Philadelphia Food Bank is launching the first childhood hunger symposium in Philadelphia, where experts in the fields of public health, education, and hunger relief will strategize about partnerships, how to maximize existing resources and facilitate change in current policies that will improve conditions for poor children in our region.

Media Opportunity: Representatives from Acme, Albertsons,
the Greater Philadelphia Food Bank, Philabundance and The
Food Bank of South Jersey will be on-hand to launch the
region's largest food drive.
Acme Markets will be showing its love of helping the needy with an in-store National Hunger Awareness Food Drive. Throughout every Acme store location from June 1-June 15, customers will be able to donate a $5.00 or $10.00 bag of food to their local food bank.
