This announcement is made further to the announcement made on 2 June 2003 announcing Mr. Hans Eggerstedt's appointment as a non-executive director of COLT Telecom Group plc.
In accordance with Chapter 16 of the Listing Rules Mr. Hans Eggerstedt is a former Finance Director of Unilever, having retired from that position in 1999. He is currently a member of the Supervisory Board of Unilever Deutschland and also a member of the Advisory Council of the ING Group, a member of the Supervisory Board of Rodamco Europe and has non-executive directorships with Jeronimo Martins and bolero.net. He has held no other directorships in any other publicly quoted Company at any time in the previous five years and there is no information to be disclosed in relation to paragraph 6. F. 2(b)to(g).
