Thinkbig Captures 2003 Silver Anvil Award Presented by Public Relations Society of America; Firm was One of Only 10 California Companies to Receive PR Industry's Highest Honor


ALISO VIEJO, Calif., June 16, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Thinkbig, an award-winning Orange County-based advertising agency, announced today that it has won an Award of Excellence in the 2003 National Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Silver Anvil Awards. Thinkbig was one of only 10 companies in California to be honored out of the 91 finalists and 664 entries.

Thinkbig captured a PRSA Silver Anvil Award of Excellence for an aggressive marketing communications campaign created for their client, Buy.com. The campaign's greatest strength was its demonstration of the power and speed of a well-crafted strategic response to a market situation. The results and management of the situation, client and effort were strong and landed the client extensive national press coverage, including prominent business press outlets.

Winners were chosen from 91 finalists out of 664 entries by a panel of 113 judges. The winning programs met the highest standards of the four components of strategic public relations programming -- research, planning, execution and evaluation.

The Silver Anvil Awards competition has grown steadily in scope and stature since its inception in 1946. Today they are awarded for programs in 15 categories and several subcategories. In the 56 years since the Silver Anvil Program began, more than 1,000 organizations have received Silver Anvils for excellence in public relations.
