Tickets On Sale Now For 10th Annual Independence Blue Cross Singer Songwriter Weekend With WXPN; The Festival Celebrates 10 years of Musical Diversity; It Will Also Be The Place Where Irish Singer Songwriter, Damien Rice, Will Receive The First XPN Award For An Emerging Artist


PHILADELPHIA, June 18, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- For the past 10 years, the WXPN Singer Songwriter Weekend has showcased the talents of singer songwriters from all musical walks of life. As the festival celebrates its tenth anniversary, this year's line-up will feature some performers who are musical legends and others who may become them one day.

The event will be held on Saturday, July 19 and Sunday, July 20, 12:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., at the Great Plaza at Penn's Landing, Columbus Boulevard and Chestnut Street in Philadelphia.

Tickets are available online at www.xpn.org and www.pennslandingcorp.com and also at various CD store outlets in the Philadelphia region. Locations will be announced on WXPN and are posted on the station's website. Tickets are $5.00 each day at all times for WXPN members, and children ages 2 to 12. Ticket prices for non-members are $10.00 in advance and $15.00 at the gate.
