Skanska Sold Entire Shareholding in Nobia

STOCKHOLM, Sweden, June 18, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Skanska AB today sold all of its shares in Nobia AB. A total of 7,203,549 shares, corresponding to 12.5 percent of the number of shares and votes in Nobia, were sold.

Skanska received the shares in Nobia as payment for the shares in Poggenpohl, which was divested at the end of 2000. One fourth of Skanska's shares in Nobia were sold in conjunction with Nobia's listing on the stock exchange in 2002. Accordingly, the sale of the remaining shares in Nobia is a natural step in the sale of non-core assets.

The sale generates an income of SEK 417 million after deduction of selling expenses. The shares were sold to a number of institutional investors in Sweden and internationally. As a result of the sale, Skanska posts a capital gain of about SEK 14 million, which will be reported among "other financial items" in the second quarter 2003.
