2003 Oakland Walk to d'Feet ALS for the Benefit of The ALS Association Bay Area Chapter

OAKLAND, June 24, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- MEDIA ADVISORY -- The Bay Area Chapter of The ALS Association will join chapters around the nation as we "Walk to d'Feet ALS". Learn from an ALS family why this walk is important to them. 800 local walkers are expected. People are walking in memory of persons who have lost their battle and those who are currently facing the day-to-day challenges of living with ALS.

WHAT: The "Walk to d'Feet ALS" is a 3-mile walk to raise funds
and public awareness. The event is made possible by the
courageous efforts of families touched by this tragic
disease. Families form a Team of Walkers. Walkers raise
sponsorship dollars. Honorary Chairs for the event are Al
Hart of KCBS Radio and Dave Casper, Pro Football Hall of
           Famer.

           service programs.

In 2002, the Walk's third year, over 36 Chapters sponsored
