Is Catholicism Pagan? -- New Book Calls for Obliteration of Catholic Dogma because of Demonic Roots

CLINT, Texas, June 25, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- With controversy rocking the Catholic church, author Enrique Garcia, Jr. attempts to explain why its present condition has been caused by a traceable link between Catholic dogma and the pagan traditions of ancient Babylon. Because of these hidden pagan traits, the author writes, Christians are separated from God and therefore cannot claim to be Christian. In An Armful of Snakes (now available through 1stBooks) he points out several "works of Satan" in Catholic dogma, such as the Virgin of Guadalupe and major Christian religions.

Garcia writes that this book outlines, point-by-point, the discrepancies between Catholic dogma and biblical truth. He writes that the Virgin of Guadalupe is a fabricated story. He writes that not only did Jesus (who's real name is Yahshua, he says) not die on a Friday, but was not resurrected from the dead on a Sunday. The holidays of Christmas, Easter, Valentine's Day, New Year's Day and Halloween are pagan and therefore "demonic," he adds.

He also writes that the Catholic church is too focused on money, as seen through the selling of dispensations, official church "annulments," purgatory and the mandatory celibacy of priests. Told from an eye-opening, unique perspective, Garcia's book is different from other books on Catholicism because it calls from the legal prosecution of the Roman Catholic Church under the federal RICO statutes, legally mandated seizure of Church land and destruction of idols of the Virgin of Guadalupe.

Born and raised Catholic, the graduate of a Jesuit high school and leader of many church committees, Garcia writes that he was secure in his "religiosity." After reading the Bible, he realized many of the tenets taught to him were in the spirit of the Antichrist. He has been pastor in two countries, spent four years in college and seven years in Bible college. This is his first full-length book. He is currently writing two more and is publishing an international newsletter.
