Lindex Interim Report for the Third Quarter 2002/2003


STOCKHOLM, Sweden, June 26, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Lindex Interim Report for the third quarter:

1 March 2003-31 May 2003

-- Profit after financial items increased during the third quarter with 35 per cent to SEK 76M (56). Operating profit amounted to SEK 76M (47). Operating profit was charged with structural and closure costs of SEK 10M (0).

-- Profit after financial items in the Nordic operations increased during the third quarter to SEK 98M (89).

-- The gross margin for the third quarter rose to 60.4 per cent (58.1), which is a high level for the period.

-- Sales for the third quarter increased by 1.0 per cent (9.0) to SEK 1,252M (1,239).

-- Results continued to improve in Germany. Lindex's same-store sales developed positively during the quarter and rose by 9.1 per cent.

-- Cash flow from current operations for the first nine months of the financial year amounted to SEK 447M (539).

The Lindex Group comprises two retail chains: Lindex with 316 stores in the Nordic market and 31 stores in Germany, and Twilfit with 58 stores in Sweden, of which 10 are operated as franchise stores. The Group's business areas are Ladies' Wear, Lingerie and Children's Clothing.
