BX Media Secures Advertising and Content Management Contract with Port Authority of NY & NJ for PATHVision, a Unique Broadcast Advertising System in the PATH Train System

Motion Advertising Spots Provide New Revenue Stream for Port Authority Trans-Hudson Train System

NEW YORK, June 30, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- BX Media Group, a multi-media marketing services firm, today announced the re-launch of PATHVision, a unique broadcast information and advertising service for the NY/NJ Port Authority Trans-Hudson (PATH) train system. PATHVision provides advertisements and other informational spots for travelers on television monitors in various station locations, through true video formats, similar to TV or Online media channels.

The PATHVision service provides advertisers with a unique opportunity to target commuters, with spots running during periods of heavy travel. Companies can accurately communicate with the desired audience by altering the timing of their advertisements. In addition, BX Media offers advertisers the flexibility to create targeted spots in multiple formats including Macromedia Flash, Adobe Acrobat and inclusion of Real-Time content on PATHVision screens.

While supplying companies with an effective alternative to traditional methods of advertising, PATHVision will also help the NY/NJ Port Authority generate additional revenue. BX Media will utilize the 227 screens throughout 13 PATH stations, to optimize the revenue PATHVision brings in helping to stabilize it as a viable profit center for the Port Authority, while providing a valuable advertising outlet for marketers and advertisers.

"Due to the large number of commuters traveling into New York City from New Jersey on a daily basis and the revitalization of the World Financial Center area in New York and Penn Station/Newark in New Jersey, PATHVision offers advertisers a truly unique and creative avenue to place their messages in front of a captive audience," said Chief Strategy Officer, Melvin Wilson. "We will make possible the full use of the media formats available on PATHVision. The advanced technology creates an opportunity for advertisers to grab the attention of travelers that can now look at entertaining moving media to pass the time and make their commutes more enjoyable."

Either by offering a wide range of innovative marketing and advertising initiatives, like PATHVision to clients, or to enrich relationships with existing constituencies and prospective customer alike, BX Media presents marketers with an efficient and cost-effective means to reach these objectives.
