CAE Completes Deployment of Telelogic DOORS for Requirements Management: Helps Manage Project Complexity and Will Support CMMi Level 3 Certification

MALMO, Sweden, July 7, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Telelogic (Stockholm:TLOG) (Other OTC:TGIAF), a leading global provider of solutions for advanced systems and software development, today announced that CAE, a leading provider of integrated training solutions and advanced simulation and controls technologies, has completed the deployment of Telelogic DOORS for requirements management.

Telelogic DOORS is the world's leading requirements management tool based on market share and technical merit according to recent reports from industry analyst firms META Group, Standish Group and Yphise. A multi-platform, enterprise-wide requirements management solution, DOORS is designed to capture, link, trace, analyze and manage a wide range of information to ensure a project's compliance with specific requirements and standards. Version 7.0 of DOORS was released today.

CAE's decision to deploy DOORS was motivated by the increasing complexity of its business operations. Bidding on multiple projects, partnering with other companies and serving many customers from its international locations, resulted in increasingly complex and lengthy project requirements. While CAE's Military Simulation and Training division had an established requirements management process in place at its various locations, a more formal and coordinated enterprise-wide approach was needed. Another key factor was the need to achieve the Software Engineering Institute's Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMi) Level 3 Certification. CMMi has become a de facto standard for assessing and improving systems engineering and software processes.

"We have a range of international military customers that use DOORS extensively so we've seen first-hand how effective this tool can be for managing requirements up-front," said Mark Soodeen, manager of systems engineering, military simulation and training, CAE. "We expect DOORS will improve the level of visibility required for our complex military programs and help us work closely with our customers to ensure we meet not only their requirements, but expectations as well."

The decision to deploy DOORS was made in December 2002 and the product was installed in January 2003. As part of the company's CMMi initiative, its sites in Canada, the US, UK, and Germany now operate using the same requirements management procedures and processes, enabled and supported by DOORS. Since January, DOORS has been used on all programs and bids by CAE's Military Simulation and Training division.

"We are pleased that another leading company in its field has seen the value and benefits that DOORS can deliver as part of a requirements- driven development process," said Scott Raskin, president of Telelogic Americas and Asia/Pacific. "With the release of version 7.0 today, we expect DOORS to further extend its market and technical leadership in the requirements management segment."
