Semotus Solutions and VhaYu Technologies Team Up for Co-Marketing Venture to Financial Markets

SAN JOSE, Calif., July 8, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Semotus Solutions (AMEX:DLK), a leading provider of software for mobile enterprise applications, and VhaYu Technologies, specialists in real-time tick data capture, analytics and storage for the financial industry, today announced a co-marketing alliance planned to sell into each company's respective customer base.

Currently, the alliance deals with the cross marketing of Semotus' QuoteXpress wireless financial service (www.quotexpress.com) with VhaYu's real-time analytic decision-support application called TraderBot (www.traderbot.com), the web-based service that lets users define and customize searches on a wide variety of financial information sources, including real-time prices, real-time news and historic fundamental company data. Using patent-pending technology, TraderBot performs complex searches over multiple days' worth of tick-by-tick data in less than 1/10th of a second. In 2000, Red Herring named TraderBot, now known as VhaYu, one of the top 10 trend companies for 2001.

QuoteXpress tracks the stocks chosen in a user's portfolio, sending alerts when pre-defined parameters are triggered. Smart Money has rated Semotus' QuoteXpress the No. 1 alert service, which provides "the only consistently reliable service. It always came in first, beating most rivals by several minutes."

"Semotus is particularly pleased to have formed the alliance with VhaYu because of our commitment to offering proven and practical financial information tools like TraderBot to our customers," stated Pamela LaPine, Semotus Executive Vice President. "Whether they are products developed by Semotus, or carefully chosen from another company, our customers can be sure that Semotus will always keep them on top of today's financial markets."

"With the stock market's continuing volatility and investors needing to be alerted to rapidly changing opportunities in the marketplace on an intra-day basis, entering this relationship with Semotus makes perfect sense with the 2004 upturn ahead," said Tejpal Chadha, CEO and co-founder at VhaYu Technologies. "It strengthens TraderBot's branding presence as we continue to increase our strategic focus on the institutional side of the markets, where we're eager to build on our recent success in serving online brokerages, advanced electronic trading systems and hedge funds."
