SODERTALJE, Sweden, July 09, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Scania (Other OTC:SVKBF) has received an order from Sweden's Alvis Hagglunds for 95 engines. They will be installed in Stridsfordon 90 (Combat Vehicle 90, CV90).
The new order from Alvis Hagglunds is for the Scania 16-litre V8 - an engine that is highly suitable in this type of special-purpose vehicles due to its compact dimensions. Depending on the application, the output of the engine is 620-680 hp.
Scania will deliver the engines during 2004. They will be built into Alvis Hagglunds' CV90 vehicles for export to Finland and Switzerland.
