Conversing with the Dragon -- New Book Seeks the Meaning of Existence

New Book Seeks the Meaning of Existence

CARLSBAD, Calif., July 11, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Since the dawn of time, humans have been questioning their purpose on this planet. Many have sought the answer, very few have found it beyond a shadow of a doubt. In his new book, Conversations with the Dragon (now available through 1stBooks), Paul Duncan shares two years of his decade-long quest to find the answers to some of life's greatest questions.

Written as journals over the course of 10 years, Duncan shares the first volume in an ongoing series about the meaning and purpose of life. It is the spiritual exploration of a man who has spent his life searching for the source of supernatural power. Dabbling in the arts of psychology and then gradually stepping into a new kind of religion, Duncan tries to find the purpose of life on his own terms. Rejecting to sift through old leather bound texts of religion, he steps into the spiritual world of the unknown.

Conversations with the Dragon shows the possible answers to life's unanswered questions and problems involved with a lack of foresight when dealing with spiritual forces that are beyond control. He finds that the ability to separate the soul from the body is not only possible, but biblical; all things are not as they appear; and there are limitations to the universe that are not readily apparent until put to the test.

"When you feel your heart is being urged to try to find God, do not resist it. Trust your intuition," he offers.

With a degree in applied science, Duncan has traveled to many parts of the country and talked with many friends and co-workers with bachelor's degrees in computer science and quantum mechanics. On a long trip from Mississippi in a classic red Mustang, he decided to see if there really was a God. Refusing to touch any of the world's religious texts, he discovered a path that would take him on a perilous journey into uncharted realms. Conversations with the Dragon is the first in a series of books on his quest.
