Telelogic DOORS to be Implemented by Raytheon for Next Generation DD(X) Ship Design

System Provides Total Validation through Traceability of All Software Code Artifacts for Navy and Prime Contractor

MALMO, Sweden and IRVINE, Calif., July 14, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Telelogic, (Other OTC:TGIAF) (Stockholm Exchange: TLOG), the leading global provider of solutions for advanced systems and software development, today announced that its DOORS(R) requirements management software will be implemented by Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems to provide requirements management support for the next generation of naval surface combat ships -- DD(X).

Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems is the electronic systems integrator for the DD(X) project. Raytheon's three-year, US$1.36 billion contract calls for the company to design, develop, build and conduct sea tests of engineering development models that will be applied to the next generation comprehensive DD(X) ship design. As part of the program, Raytheon will build upon its long-time relationship with the U.S. Navy and join forces with prime contractor, Northrop Grumman, to create a transformational system that will harness the full power of 21st Century network and systems technology.

"Telelogic is extremely pleased to have been chosen by Raytheon for the DD(X) project," said Scott Raskin, president of Telelogic Americas and Asia/Pacific. "The technological vision and commitment behind this initiative will set the standard for a multi-mission total systems environment for years to come. We're proud to be a part of an effort that incorporates best of breed technology, while contributing to our nation's defense at the same time."

Telelogic DOORS is a multi-platform, enterprise-wide system designed to capture, link, trace, analyze and manage changes to information that will be used to ensure the project's compliance to specified requirements and standards. It will also allow Raytheon and other industry partners the ability to make sure the resulting applications are completed on time, within budget, and with all features and functionality originally specified.

DOORS was selected for this three-year project for its ability to provide total validation through traceability of all costs, scheduling data and engineering data for Raytheon, the Navy and Northrop Grumman.

This transaction builds upon the already established three-year, global master agreement Telelogic has with Raytheon, announced in August 2002, covering more than 2,000 licenses for Telelogic Synergy (change and configuration management), Telelogic DOORS and Telelogic Tau UML Suite (software analysis and modeling). Revenues for this sale were booked in the first quarter, 2003.
