REVA, Inc. Announces Its New Advanced Custom Video Compression Chip


CULPEPER, Va., July 15, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- REVA, Inc. (OTCBB:RVIA) announced today that the company now has a highly developed programmable video compression prototype chip. The chip and supporting circuitry were developed as part of a year-long multi-phased demonstration contract. REVA is using the proprietary Time Critical Quantifier (TCQ) video compression algorithm. The second phase will be demonstrated in late July. The final phase includes the chip and supporting firmware to be incorporated into a new low-cost version of their Digital Transmitter. The modern system is performing 5 to 8 times better than currently fielded systems. No comment can be made about follow on contracts at this time. A fully implemented system board will be approximately the size of a 2-1/2 inch disk drive. The new TCQ chip represents over five years of Research and Development by senior engineers and several renowned PhDs. This unique chip will be standard for all REVA, Inc.'s futuristic products.
