STOCKHOLM, Sweden, July 22, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Song Networks signs agreement with Wedins
Song Networks Holding AB's (OtherOTC:SONWF)(Stockholmsborsen:SONW) Swedish subsidiary Song Networks Svenska AB has signed an agreement with Wedins Skor & Accessoarer AB (Wedins) for the supply of data communication and Internet for Wedins' 218 shops and offices in the Nordic region. The agreement extends over 3 years.
The data communication solution involves that all of Wedins offices in the Nordic region are connected to a homogenous data network, IP VPN och gives access to central systems for multimedia based internal training, E-mail and Internet over fixed lines.
"There were several aspects that was important for us in our search for the right supplier. We looked for a supplier with a Nordic coverage and with a technical solution that will work together with future services," says Lars Jungerth, Director for Logistics and IT at Wedins.
The communication between the shops is adapted to today's systems. At the same time Wedins are working on developing new applications for their internal training that has high demands on the technical platform.
