The Light of God -- New Book shows Medium's Communication with Divinity

NEW YORK, July 25, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Everyone has questioned the existence of a higher power at one point or another, whether in a spiritual way or a passing questioning of purpose. Laura Silvana Aversano has the answers to those who seek. She presents these answers in her new book, The Light of God (now available through 1stBooks).

"(It) takes you on a journey of rediscovering who you truly are, who God is for you and how you can unfold in that sacred relationship with the utmost grace, respect and dignity in the light of faith," Aversano says.

The Light of God is devoted to themes of universal and spiritual significance. It is a collection of writings based on the spiritual life and one's relationship to the divine. She contends the book was received by her through prayer from the world of spirit. The text offers guidance and understanding of the governing laws that are at work. These laws, Aversano says, distinguish one's relationship "between the light and the darkness."

"It discusses how we may rise above illusion and meet God at the threshold of truth, awakening and with the stillness and inner peace that we long for when we are in holy union with Him," Aversano says.

She discusses in-depth the world of spirits, the light of God, the truth about evil and sin, the fundamentals and power of prayer, God's commandments and parables, and the teachings and healings that are offered to people through their connection with "the Christ consciousness." Aversano also discusses the theory of reincarnation and the subject of life after death. The book explores the understanding of free will, the will of God and the implications of eternal life when people choose to live a life that is "deemed" for them.

"It presents to us a view of the nature of God and the sacred relationship we have with Him in identifying that nature within...The Light of God becomes a conscious and living experience for those who desire to know Him and have a more profound union with a loving creator," Aversano says.

Aversano is a longtime mystic. Her experiences with the divine have taken her to extreme levels of both the light and the darkness physically, mentally, psychically and spiritually. She has written one other book entitled The Divine Nature of Plants (Swan Raven, 2002).
