LONDON and DALLAS, Texas, July 28, 2003 - Trintech Group Plc (Nasdaq:TTPA) (Prime Standard:TTP), a leading provider of transaction management and payment infrastructure solutions, today announced that Thermae Bath Spa, the UK's only rejuvenated hot spa development since 1978, has selected and implemented Trintech's bank-accredited, PayWare Merchant, to process all its card payment transactions, including EMV Chip and PIN.
PayWare Merchant, a leading EFT card processing solution, will enable Thermae Bath Spa to provide rapid online payment authorizations from any sales or order processing system. This translates to less time queuing for guests, easier reconciliation of transactions, central and local reporting, as well as added support for multiple business channels. PayWare Merchant also integrates seamlessly with existing electronic point-of-sale (EPoS), call center systems, Internet web sites and other business systems.

Thermae Bath Spa -- an 80 per cent leisure-based and 20 per cent medical hot spa -- including indoor and outdoor thermal Spa bathing, was keen to implement an integrated secure payment transaction system. Trintech's PayWare Merchant will integrate into the overall facilities management solution being jointly installed by Baron LRMS, based in Wakefield, UK. At a later stage Baron will implement a front end application together with a choice of Trintech's secure EMV Level 2 hardware solution, PayWare Smart 5000, the industry's fastest, stylish and intuitive hybrid card reader or Trintech's PayWare Compact 950pp, a solution designed to meet the most rigorous demands of the card payment industry.
The Thermae Bath Spa development was made possible through a 7.78 million grant from the Millennium Commission. It involves the restoration of five historic buildings, including the 18th century Hot Bath and Cross Bath, and the construction of a stunning new glass and stone building designed by internationally acclaimed architects Sir Nicholas Grimshaw & Partners. It has an impressive, overall floor space of 4,000 square meters set in a unique urban setting.
