Globix and ON24 Announce Strategic Alliance to Deliver Best-of-Breed Webcasting Solutions for Enterprises

NEW YORK, July 29, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Globix Corporation (OTCBB:GBXX) today announced a strategic alliance with ON24 to provide enterprises with enhanced, end-to-end webcasting solutions that will simplify and improve the effectiveness of streaming media for business critical applications such as sales presentations, corporate communications, marketing seminars and employee training.

As part of the alliance, Globix agreed to license ON24's Webcast Center(tm) software and integrate it into their existing Globix Presenter(tm) webcasting platform. The enhanced Globix Presenter(tm) solution, powered by ON24, provides a true turnkey solution that combines all the components required to produce and deliver enterprise-class web events, including streaming audio and video, synchronized slide presentations, interactive features such as Q&A and polling, and integrated web links and document downloads. Clients can add Globix signal acquisition, encoding and audio/visual production services for a complete event solution. In addition, sophisticated reporting tools provide access to detailed usage information that allows corporate clients to determine their return on investment -- a key requirement for any communications program today.

"Webcasting has come a long way, but can still be a complicated technology to deploy for many enterprises with limited IT staffs," said Pete Stevenson, Globix's CEO. "The Globix/ON24 solution simplifies the experience and unlocks the value of this technology for enterprises of all sizes."

Also part of the agreement, ON24 will be utilizing Globix for infrastructure support including content encoding, distribution and live event production. "Globix's network reach, EarthCache( Content Delivery Network, and experience in streaming mission critical events ensure ON24's customers the highest possible security, quality and performance," added Scott Diehl, ON24's Senior VP of Sales and Business Development.

The webcasting market is expected to grow as more enterprises adopt the technology to lower costs, improve productivity, drive revenues and improve profitability. "Together, Globix and ON24 are providing enterprises with the webcasting solutions they need to communicate more effectively both inside and outside their organizations," said Stevenson.
