WEST PALM BEACH, Fla., July 31, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Ocwen Financial Corporation (NYSE:OCN) announced that Ronald J. Korn was appointed as a member of the Board of Directors of the Company.
Mr. Korn is currently President of Ronald Korn Consulting, Boca Raton, FL. He is a Founding Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee of Horizon Bank FSB. He has also served as a Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee of PetMed Express, Inc. (OTCBB:PETS) since November 2002. He also has served as a Director of TOUSA Homes, Inc. (formerly Engle Homes, Inc.) since 1992.
Mr. Korn was employed by KPMG, LLP from 1961 to 1991 and retired as Managing Partner of the Miami office. He has also previously served as a Director and Chairman of Audit Committees of various public companies.
Mr. Korn graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School in 1961 and New York University Law School in 1965. He was admitted as a Certified Public Accountant in New York, Michigan and Florida, with his license currently inactive. Mr. Korn was also admitted to the New York Bar in 1966, but has never practiced law.
Mr. Korn is a Director of Florida Grand Opera, Boca Roundtable and Wharton Club of South Florida. He previously served as President of Florida Grand Opera, and was President of Miami Opera when a successful merger with the Fort Lauderdale Opera created Florida Grand Opera. Mr. Korn has served as Chairman of the South Florida President's Council and Associate Trustee of University of Pennsylvania, Vice Chairman of Dade County Performing Arts Center Foundation, Member of Campaign Council of United Way of Dade County, Chairman of several Annual Dinners for Leukemia Society, and a Director of Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, Beacon Council and Bass Art Museum.
