Scientific Industries Announces Engagement of Independent Sales Representatives for Distribution of Two New Products

BOHEMIA, N.Y., Aug. 8, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Scientific Industries Inc. (OTCBB:SCND), manufacturer of the original Vortex-Genie(r), has engaged several independent sales representatives, covering various regions throughout the United States, for the promotion and distribution of two new products, the BioReactor Genie(tm) and the Bag Rotator.

The BioReactor Genie(tm) is a compact benchtop culture chamber designed to provide optimal growth conditions for a variety of cell types including bacteria, plant, and animal cells.

The Bag Rotator gently and effectively mixes transfer packs or other sealed bags, maintaining platelets and other sample components in suspension without risk of damage. The Company believes that the economical Bag Rotator is ideal for use with blood product samples, or almost any sealed bag that requires extremely gentle mixing, or suspension of its contents.

"The engagement of independent sales representatives," noted Helena Santos, President and CEO of Scientific Industries, "is one component of the Company's new strategy to expand our existing distribution network, penetrate unique and untapped markets, and increase revenue."
