Nettel Holdings Introduces $.0079 Per Minute Calling to Anywhere in the United States

VANCOUVER, Wash., August 14, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Nettel Holdings, Inc. (OTCBB:NTTL), is pleased to introduce a $.0079 per minute rate for long distance carriers and wholesalers. The Company is preparing for significant growth, which it expects to result from this new rate program.

At current capacity, Nettel can terminate over 280 million minutes of U.S. calls per month. In preparation for handling the expected increased volume, Nettel needed to secure three things: equipment that could handle up to 10 DS3 worth of traffic; bandwidth to handle up to 10 DS3 worth of traffic; and a secure nationwide network with multiple bandwidth and local termination providers.

As of January 28, 2003, VoipXchange.net, a subsidiary of Nettel, had acquired virtually all of the business assets of a large telecommunication provider. The assets included a carrier-grade, class 4 and class 5 soft-switch based solution, putting Nettel one step closer to completing their plan to build out a nationwide VoIP termination network.

Then, on June 27, 2003, Nettel completed the relocation, installation, and upgrade of its bandwidth capacity to a redundant OC-48 connection. An OC-48 connection provided VoipXchange.net with Internet connectivity of 2.488 Gbps. At full capacity, this would allow Nettel to originate and terminate over 16 billion minutes per month, including both domestic and international wholesale minutes.

Finally, on August 11, 2003, Nettel secured a nationwide network with multiple bandwidth and local termination providers.

Nettel's operational strategy has, and will, continue to encompass the following: Continued efforts in the international market to introduce new options, make available lower rates, new features, increased functionality and products that expand Nettel's addressable market(s); and providing Nettel's target customers with the complete solution they require.
