NEW YORK, August 19, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- With its expansion to two hours, Business Talk Radio's nationally syndicated show, "Travel With Stephanie Abrams!" is implementing 'Caribbean Corner' as a weekly feature according to its travel expert host, Stephanie Abrams. Abrams explains that the diverse islands of the Caribbean, the uniqueness of the resorts, attractions and natural beauty of each of the destinations, create a natural mandate to make the Caribbean an integral part of the programming.
"Setting the tone for 'Caribbean Corner,' is Berthia Parle, the President-Elect of the Caribbean Hotel Association who will be my guest to debut the new 2 hour format airing Sunday, August 31,2003. Berthia's special exuberance and passion for the Caribbean are infectious and provide the perfect launching pad for my listening audience to 'catch the spirit' of what they can expect from Caribbean Corner," Abrams notes.
"While the show is heard Sundays nationally and begins it's 2 hour program when it's 6pm EST on Business Talk Radio and streams live on the internet at the web site of the radio network (www.businesstalkradio.net), the 'Caribbean Corner' segment will begin at 6:41pm EST weekly. "We'll be talking with hoteliers about their unique offerings and will generally focus on hotels that fit the theme of the show. Each week the show's theme focuses on a niche market in travel such as golfing, spas, family travel, active travel, romantic breakaways, shopping destinations, sizzling single spots, all-inclusive resort, tips for the frugal traveler, and traveling with pets, to name just a few! Our 'Caribbean Corner' segment will try to focus on hotels that fit the theme of the show wherever possible. The Caribbean is so rich with something for every interest that we'll have no difficulty featuring the perfect resort or hotel for every topic! And with the support of the members of the Caribbean Hotel Association and Berthia Parle, the flow of opportunity to showcase properties will be an efficient process," Abrams explains.
Abrams sees her radio show as the link between the supplier, the traveler and the travel agent. "My show is 100% agent friendly. In my heart I am an agent although I haven't been in that role in more than 20 years. I know the value of agents and what they do for suppliers, the industry, and their clients. I feel blessed that I can help motivate the public to travel, give exposure to niche market treasures, and remind the traveler to RUN, not walk, to their travel agent to get assistance before the trip begins through the point of the follow- up on their return," Abrams explains.
