ISG Burns Harbor Wins Saturn University Award


BURNS HARBOR, Ind., Sept. 9, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- ISG Burns Harbor has received the Saturn University Award for 2002. The award recognizes ISG for its support and commitment to Saturn University, which provides educational resources to the companies, which supply materials, parts and services to Saturn Motor Company in Spring Hill, Tennessee. The award was accepted by Hank Darlington, ISG Detroit sales manager and Bill Adams, ISGs Saturn account manager.

ISG Burns Harbor teaches two courses through the Saturn University: Steel Formability and Steelmaking. The course in Steel Formability is offered twice yearly, once in Spring Hill and once in Detroit to accommodate Saturn's base of suppliers. Classes are taught by Hank Darlington. The Steelmaking course is offered twice a year and is taught at ISG Burns Harbor steel plant in Burns Harbor, Indiana. Classes are conducted in each major department of the plant including steelmaking, hot rolling, cold rolling and customer service.
