Stora Enso's closed period two weeks


HELSINKI, Finland, Sept. 23, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Stora Enso (NYSE:SEO) today announced that Stora Enso has changed the duration of its closed period to two weeks. Stora Enso will therefore not comment or meet capital market representatives or the media for two weeks prior to the date when the results of a reporting period are announced. Until now the closed period started immediately when a reporting period ended and lasted until the results were announced.

This definition of the closed period will also from now define the blocking period applied to permanent insiders and the Company as purchaser of its own shares.

Stora Enso's closed period before announcement of the third quarter results will start on Thursday 9 October 2003.
