MB Tech Purchases Patent for Key Operating Mechanism of DBS Flat Antenna

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 23, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- MB Tech, Inc. (OTCBB:MBTT) announced today that it has purchased the intellectual property and patent rights related to the key driving device used in its new DBS Flat Antenna. Purchasing the Patent provides MB Tech the opportunity for exclusive global exploitation of the technology.

MB Tech previously announced completion of the development of the antenna and North American licensing of the Patent to protect its portable antenna system. The US Patent No. 6,512,490, applies specifically to a portable satellite antenna mechanism capable of implementing an accurate horizontal and vertical directional position to attain a satellite signal automatically.

Hanwook Bae, President of MB Tech, stated, "By purchasing this Patent outright we have created a solid intellectual property base to build upon." He added, "We will continue to focus heavily on research and development, emphasizing protection of our proprietary technologies."

MB Tech's new proprietary flat antenna system is designed to cater to the needs of the satellite entertainment user, regardless of where they may be. The small form factor antenna provides mobility, ease of use, and exposure to multiple vertical markets including apartments, condos, boats, RV's, SUV's and Limousines.

Based on currently engineered technology, the Company will complete development of deliverable in-motion models for buses, trains, boats, motor homes and automobiles within the year.

Current products marketed by competitors such as KVH Industries (NASDAQ:KVHI) are larger, much more expensive, high-end products that are not portable and out of reach in terms of price to the mass market.

About the DBS Flat Antenna

The new 14" x 14" flat antenna has a max 32 dBw gain and covers most of the area that typical 18" dishes would. MB Tech engineers used leading edge microstrip patch array design technology and special manufacturing methods to connect the antenna and the Low-Noise Blockdown Converter (LNB).
