Board member Mart Tooming will leave Hansabank


TALLINN, Finland, Sept. 25, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Mart Tooming, Chairman of the Board of Hansa Capital and Member of the Board of Hansabank (Other OTC:HNSBF), has presented a letter of resignation to Hansabank Council.

Mart Tooming, head of the pan-Baltic leasing and factoring company Hansa Capital since its creation in 1993, will leave the bank following the adoption of a country-based management structure.

Indrek Neivelt: During his 11 years in Hansabank, Mart Tooming has built up a very successful leasing company. Hansa Capital has had a great role in not only the development of Hansabank Group, but the whole Baltic financial market, where penetration of leasing services is one of the highest in the world. With the structural changes, I made him an offer to take up a new position of the Group, which Mart decided not to accept."
