Lansforsakringar selects Ecovision as new provider of financial information feeds


STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Oct. 01, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Ecovision AB has received an order from Lansforsakringar AB regarding delivery of financial information feeds.

Ecovision will be the new provider of financial information feeds to Lansforsakringar's Internet and intranet services. Ecovision, through its subsidiary Newmedia, is already the provider of the technology and the operations of the Internet services.

Lansforsakringar has also chosen Ticker News Agency, a subsidiary in the Ecovision group, as the provider of financial news.

- Ecovision's total concept with development and operations of Internet services together with information feeds and financial news suits us very well, says Mikael Ostlund, Information Manager at Lansforsakringar.

The contract with Lansforsakringar is a great success for Ecovision which by the acquisition of Newmedia in July this year has strengthen its position as one of the leading Nordic providers of financial information.

Lansforsakringar, organised with 24 independent regional insurance companies and the jointly owned Lansforsakringar AB, is Sweden's only customer owned and local banking and insurance group.

Ecovision group revenue in 2002 amounted to 64.4 million SEK and the operating result was 8.6 million SEK. The Ecovision group has, the acquisition of Newmedia included, 42 employees and has activities in Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark and the Netherlands.

The Ecovision Group has three business areas: Ecovision ProTrader -- a real-time information system, Ecovision Newmedia -- developing and operating customized trade- and information services, and the Ticker News Agency, with real-time news for the financial markets.

The Ecovision share is listed at the Stockholm Stock Exchange, New Market.
