LONDON and DALLAS, Oct. 13, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Trintech Group Plc (Nasdaq:TTPA) (Prime Standard: TTP), a leading provider of transaction management and payment infrastructure solutions, today announced that Capita Business Services Ltd, part of the Capita Group Plc (LSE:CPI) (Pink Sheets:CTAGF), the largest and fastest growing professional support service organization in the UK, has implemented Trintech's bank-accredited PayWare Merchant solution to process all its card payment transactions for TV Licensing applications.
PayWare Merchant, a leading EFT card processing solution, has been deployed at Capita's offices to handle television license payments. As a result of its work in TV Licensing, Capita required a payment solution that could handle upwards of one million online and call center card transactions. PayWare Merchant's server-based solution will enable Capita to manage heavy volumes of transactions securely with the ability to scale to handle an increase in transaction traffic. Further plans being assessed for increasing the facilities to enable the general public to pay for their TV Licence via credit or debit card include Integrated Voice Response (IVR) systems. Additionally, Capita will be in a better position to add other card types and to integrate into new Customer Relationship Management systems planned for TV Licensing in the future.
