Sectra displays world-class mobile security solutions at TechNet Europe

LINKOPING, Sweden, Oct. 15, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Sectra will showcase its products at TechNet Europe, a military defense trade show at the Jolly Hotel Midas in Rome on October 16-17. Visitors are welcome to test our secure mobile telephones, which are used today by the most demanding defense and public sector customers within EU and NATO.

Sectra is one of the world's leading companies for secure mobile communication solutions. Sectra Tiger(r), an eavesdrop-secure mobile telephone, was developed by Sectra in cooperation with experts from the Swedish Defense. The NATO telephone NSK 200, which is based on a further development of the same technology as Tiger, has achieved international success in recent years as a result of orders from NATO's central organization and NATO member nations such as Germany, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic and Norway.

Different variations of the Tiger telephone, including NSK 200 and country-specific adaptations, will also be displayed at Sectra's stand No. 7 in the Murano Gallery.

The Tiger(r) XS encryption terminal will also be shown internationally for the first time at TechNet Europe.

Tiger XS is a mobile security solution originally developed in a pilot study for the Swedish Defense. In addition to voice and data communications encryption, Tiger XS also offers opportunities to integrate various secure applications, such as mobile intranet. Sectra received the first order for its new Tiger XS product from a Finnish customer one week before the TechNet Europe trade show.

Sectra Communications AB develops and sells eavesdrop-secure mobile communication systems, high-speed encryption for telecom and data lines as well as tactical radio systems. Customers are defense departments and government authorities in Europe and within NATO with extremely high demands on communications security. Sectra has strong core expertise in encryption and is one of the leading companies in the world in the design and development of secure communication systems.
