Daniel Hauck, the Unlikely Inventor of SUV of Pet Carriers, Launches New Carrier

Environmentally Friendly 2004 SUV PetMobile Generates Second Looks at Airports

SAN ANTONIO, Texas, Oct. 17, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- RETAIL FEATURE -- Some people think of useful inventions. Daniel Hauck invents. Watching his daughter pull the family cat around in the traditional pet carrier was all it took to set his inventive mind into gear.

The unassuming Mr. Hauck still cannot explain why he decided to give pets and their owners a choice of style when traveling to the vet or around the world. He says, "It just seemed like it needed to be done."

With his daughter at his side, the common plastic pet carrier received a facelift -- reinvented with style and functionality to benefit the owner. Hauck says that designing the PetMobile was challenging. Basic sketches were converted to engineering drawings. Buying the molding and arranging for the manufacturing was so costly that he often had night sweats.

Now that the project is complete and on the market, Hauck is a happy man. Website sales are going well at www.petmanproducts.com, and the company is accepting distribution and retail sales proposals from major companies in the U.S. and Canada. Owners report heads turning and inquiries from strangers when traveling through world airports. While molded wheels, windows, and headlights are attractive cosmetic additions, the practical improvement is under the hood in the form of a storage compartment for food, supplies, and leashes. Hauck expects sales to soar this Christmas season.

Dog and cat owners like to give their pets something that benefits owners too. One owner stated, "The PetMobile is simply a better idea and even dogs think the invention is the cat's meow!"
