The WGL Plans $100,000 Event to Capture the Interest of 55 Million Golfers Worldwide

ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla., Oct. 20, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- The World Golf League, Inc. (OTCBB:WGFL) announced today that it will be hosting its previously postponed 2002 National Event on November 6th through November 8th in the greater Orlando, Florida area.

The final event will be played in a similar fashion to a professional tour event with three rounds of competition. The WGL finals are expected to garner significant media attention and video coverage, and will feature over 200 participants competing in four flights of competition for $100,000 in prize money or $25,000 per flight. The top ten finishers in each flight will receive prize money, with the first place finisher in each flight earning $9,000. The World Golf League will be providing entrants with daily receptions and a final awards banquet. The three golf championship venues chosen for this event are Black Bear, Eagle Dunes and Victoria Hills.

According to Mike Pagnano, CEO of the WGL, "Because such a large scale amateur golf event is a rarity, we hope to receive major market media attention. It is not every day that golfers of this caliber can stand over a put that could be worth $9,000. We are extremely excited to announce this milestone as it will only increase the excitement that has been building up for our potentially record setting 2004 season."

The WGL plans to use the footage shot at this event to produce its upcoming infomercial series to begin airing in late November. This event will also feature an assortment of celebrity participants including Lawrence Taylor, NFL Hall of Fame linebacker.
