New Pearle Vision at Legacy Village Combines Latest Fashion and Technology with Expertise for a Unique Optical Experience; "PearleNation" Teen Feature Area Unveiled

LYNDHURST, Ohio, Oct. 20, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Pearle Vision is celebrating the Grand Opening of its newest location in Cleveland's new "life-style" retail shopping center, Legacy Village. The new Pearle Vision store offers customers an experienced staff, the latest in eyewear fashion and lens innovation for all ages, plus the cutting-edge technology of the SmartMirror(tm). The Grand Opening celebration includes unique savings, giveaways, and special appearances by local radio personalities.

The new store is a perfect complement to the upscale styling of Legacy Village, as Pearle Vision features the latest frame styles from Gucci, Kenneth Cole, BCBG, Giorgio Armani, DKNY, Cynthia Rowley, Nike, Ralph Lauren and many other designer brands as well as a wide assortment of brand name contacts.

The Legacy Village Pearle Vision also boasts the SmartMirror(tm), the latest technology for taking digital pictures of customers in different frame styles and displaying the images on-screen. This is a perfect tool for customers to make side-by-side comparisons between styles. It is especially helpful for farsighted individuals, giving them the ability to wear their own prescription glasses while clearly seeing how the various frames look on their face using the display screen.

In addition to helping shoppers find the perfect eyewear, the SmartMirror(tm) technology enables customers to view demonstrations of various lens options including non-glare lenses, different lens materials, tints, and more.

The Legacy Village Pearle Vision also includes "PearleNation," a new subbrand devoted to teens who often have trouble finding suitable eyewear in the transition from children's frames to adult frames. "PearleNation is designed specifically for teens and features the latest fashion frames as well as graphics and music with them in mind. We want to make shopping for eyewear a fun and exciting experience for teens," said Store Manager Carolyn Veccia.

An integral member of the Pearle Vision team is Dr. Steven H. Friedman, OD. He is certified in therapeutics and specializes in the treatment of corneal conditions through contact lenses. Dr. Friedman, Ms. Veccia and the rest of the new Pearle Vision staff have many years of optical experience.

"We did everything we could to assemble the best and brightest staff of retail optical associates in Cleveland," said Robbie Fertel, Pearle Vision Regional Manager. "Many on the staff are previous store managers or have held other supervisory positions, meaning they have the experience necessary to 'super-serve' our customers."

Pearle Vision's Legacy Village store is located at 24539 Cedar Road in Lyndhurst and can be reached at 216-291-0120.
