LOS ANGELES, Nov. 19, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- PracticeXpert, Inc. (OTCBB:PXPT), today announced that it has officially launched operations in the State of Texas.
PracticeXpert has formed a Texas corporation named Val Practice Management, Inc. to operate as a billing and practice management company in the State of Texas. Further, PracticeXpert has engaged the services of Marie Valenzuela, a resident of Pasadena, Texas, a suburb of Houston, to operate Val Practice Management. Val Practice Management has already signed its first client, a physical therapy and occupational health practice.
Ms. Valenzuela is a practice management and billing expert and is a Certified Insurance Specialist for the State of Texas. In 1992 she founded Val-Med Billing, which she ran until 2000 when she sold the firm to a large healthcare services firm. At the time of sale, her firm provided billing and related practice management services to approximately 60 physicians in the State of Texas.
Ms. Valenzuela stated, "I am extremely excited at having joined forces with PracticeXpert. There is a substantial need in Texas for quality billing services, and a growing demand for technology solutions that can improve reimbursement to physicians. After selling my business in 2000 I have stayed very well connected with the medical community, as an advisor and consultant, and I am confident that we can bring in a substantial amount of new business to Val Practice Management in the near term."
