SAINT CHARLES, Mo., Nov. 21, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- For Corie, a life of caring for her brother and not caring enough for herself has finally taken its toll. In author Ree Thurman's new book, Tomorrow is Forever (now available through 1stBooks), Corie explores her inner feelings, tries to come to terms with her mother's death and searches for love.

Corie's mother dies giving birth to her second child, and her father, an alcoholic deserts them. Corie is left to care for her baby brother alone. After a life of caring for a child, Corie finds it hard to change her ways. All she wants is for someone to care for her.

Her longing leads her into relationships that never make her feel fully satisfied. She finds Patrick, but he is possessive and abusive. Jared pushes her to grow up, but is a dark and mysterious man. Christopher is caught up in his mother's selfish web. Through her encounters with these troubled men, Corie learns about herself. As she finishes college, she gains a sense of independence. However, it takes a new life in San Francisco and the help of a benefactor to finally shake her from her comfort zone.

She takes a job as a personal secretary for a business tycoon and later finds herself wrapped up in a web of manipulation. Feelings of guilt from her mother's death, her relationships and her perception of herself all play into this captivating novel about a young woman coming into her own and realizing what she wants in life.

Thurman, a native of Missouri, lives with her husband of 40 years. They have three children and three grandchildren. Tomorrow is Forever is her first book.
